Design and AssessementThe aim of this project is to help non-computer scientists (e.g. students, K-12, senators, elderly, etc.) gain a basic understanding of parallel computation. The kinetic sculpture "SeeMore" displays parallel computing patterns. Still in prototyp version SeeMore is a cluster of Raspberry Pi computers.

In this study I was responsible to develop the story line for the user interface. High school students from the Virginia Governor's school participated in a pilot study on May 2nd 2014. The purpose of the pilot study was to understand how students engage with SeeMore in order to understand concepts of computational thinking. Engagement with sculpture was inferred from verbal and overt behaviors of students and was captured on audio and video recordings.
